Marina Marine Surf 10kg

marina-marine-surf-decorative-aquarium-gravel-10kg

Create a colourful aquascape in your aquarium with Marina Decorative Gravel. The gravel is epoxy-coated, which makes the gravel inert and prevents any adverse effects on water chemistry. Research shows that epoxy-coated gravel provides an optimum surface for the colonization of beneficial bacteria, which in turn provide biological filtration for clear and healthy water.

The gravel is dust free and designed for fresh water and saltwater aquariums.

  • Epoxy-coated gravel safe for aquarium water.
  • Provides optimum surface for beneficial bacteria colonization.

Seachem Meridian

Meridian

Meridian™ is an all natural oolitic (spherical or egg shaped) aragonite substrate for all reef and marine aquaria.

It's grain size (a fairly uniform .25 - .50 mm) is ideally suited to reef inhabitants and it's chemical composition will assist in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity while preventing large pH declines.

Unlike competing "wet" products marketed under the guise of being "live", Meridian™ is sold dry, thus you pay only for gravel and not for unneeded water. These products imply that they contain living, microscopic animals when in fact they only contain common bacteria. Dry or wet, there are bacteria on every substrate available.

If one is concerned with shortening the tank cycle time for a new system, then the use of a product designed for that particular purpose would be more appropriate (such as Seachem's Stability®).

Seachem Flourite® Sand

FlouriteSand

Flourite® Sand is a specially fracted stable porous clay substrate for the natural planted aquarium.

Its appearance is best suited to planted aquaria, but may be used in any aquarium environment.

Flourite® Sand is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may be mixed with other gravels.

Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary. Flourite® Sand is not chemically coated or treated and will not alter the pH of the water. Flourite® Sand is good for the life of the aquarium and need not be replaced.

Seachem Onyx Rock 10kg

Onyx

Onyx™ is a specially fractured porous substrate for the aquarium. Onyx™ is suitable for any marine or freshwater environments and is ideally suited for cichlid environments. Onyx™ is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may be mixed with other gravels or sands. Onyx™ is not chemically coated or treated but does have a slight buffering capacity.

Although pre-washed, it may be rinsed before use to remove residual dust. Dust can also be minimized by filling aquarium slowly and dispersing water so that the Onyx™ bed is not disturbed. Slight initial cloudiness is normal and will clear rapidly (2–12 hours). To shorten the cloudiness period use Clarity™ in conjunction with mechanical filtration (such as filter floss).

Seachem Pearl Beach

PearlBeach

Pearl Beach™ is an all natural aragonite substrate for all types of marine, reef and tropical aquaria.

Its chemical composition will assist in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity while preventing large pH declines. Similar in appearance to Meridian™, it's grain size is considerably more varied.

Unlike competing “wet” gravels, Pearl Beach™ is sold dry: this bag contains 35% more gravel than a bag of wet gravel of equal weight.
